Buendia Suites

The basic room worked well for us: it was clean, had a big comfortable bed, and the mini fridge came in handy for groceries. We stayed a week and had a really great time. The staff were warm and friendly, especially Natalia, who we saw most often. She was attentive and always glad to help, and reception got us anything we asked for in the room quickly. The hotel’s terrace and pool were nice for relaxing with coffee or a glass of wine. Reception offers a free glass of wine, Starbucks coffee to buy, and there’s a snack machine. There are also plenty of shops nearby that stay open late. The location is right in the center, with bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafés just steps away, and the beach is close too. For what we needed, it was a perfect 10 at a great price. We’ll definitely return, since we didn’t get to see all the local tourist attractions and mountain trails 👌🏻☺️

We arrived with a reservation already paid through Booking, only to be told the hotel was full. They said it might take at least an hour to find a solution, and we weren’t willing to wait. After we spoke very firmly with the staff, they eventually gave us a room. I can’t understand how there was suddenly a room after they first said there were none. The whole thing was stressful and unprofessional.

I’m Kevin, a solo traveller from Ireland, posting from my daughter’s account. I stayed at the Buendia from 14th to 21st Oct and had a great time. The room was very clean, and the location was handy for shops, bars and restaurants. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach. Mike, Natalia and Jorge deserve a special thanks for making me feel so welcome. The staff were excellent, and I couldn’t fault the place. I’ll definitely book again and look forward to seeing them. Highly recommend.

Ants got into our luggage and clothes in the room, and the hotel neither took responsibility nor offered any real help. They promised the manager would contact us, but that never happened. We eventually had to go through Booking.com to get a refund. It’s unacceptable, especially with small children. They refused to move us to another room and used a strong chemical spray even after I told them I’m allergic. It felt like they showed no care for guests’ health or safety. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families.
