Hotel La Vega

The staff were kind, but the hotel wasn’t worth the price. The rooms were unbearably hot and the air conditioners didn’t work. We were told to wait a few hours for it to cool outside and leave the windows open. Around midnight, though, they started burning wood and smoke came straight into our room. We had to close the windows at 2 am, and the room got hot again. After an hour or two we opened them, but then a dog started barking. We couldn’t get any rest and left exhausted.

We went away for a mini vacation hoping to relax, but the hotel was colder than a fridge. The staff didn’t know how to stay out of your way, and there was nighttime noise that scared you. Breakfast was a disaster, and from the start I felt rejected. I know it’s a 3 star hotel, but the winter conditions are dreadful. They removed the thermostat from the room, so you only get heat in rationed amounts. What a joke! I’m sorry to write such a bad review, it’s not like me, but honestly I wouldn’t have given it any stars. Below zero 🥶

We’ve had really nice stays here. I came with my daughter while we were skiing at Valdelinares. The rooms are great, the staff pleasant, and the menu is nice and reasonably priced. The local wine was lovely too. They’ve also got a small pool and sauna. 10/10.

For the price, this was outrageous. The room was basic and dusty, the showers were cold, the fridge didn’t work, and the main door wouldn’t close properly. Service was slower than paint drying. I’ve seen SLOATHS in the JUNGLE move faster. Breakfast was RIDICULOUS too. I’ve traveled a lot in recent years, and there’s usually a choice of a hot EUROPE BREAKFAST or a healthy CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. This hotel had NONE. The Pool and Sauna were LAUGHABLE, a SANTUARY for the WILD.
