Albergue San Francisco

Our Scout group stayed here over Christmas 2025. It’s a great spot for a quick camping trip.

The municipal pool is only 20 meters away, and we found it really nice. Inside, the hostel has a lot of character, with paintings of historical events and 18th-century land registry maps covering the walls. Our group of four, two adults and two children, had a room with its own bathroom. There are also bigger group rooms with shared bathrooms. The rooms were very clean. I’d happily recommend it.

They give you such warm, family-like care here. The building is a 15th-century Franciscan convent, and I hope Alcaraz Town Hall will sell it to them so they can put in the many hours of restoration and renovation it needs. They also work with several socially excluded groups and offer sponsorship. 👏👏💪💪

I spent a week here. The room was clean, though sharing the bathroom was the one drawback. It’s a wonderful place to take in, with so much history.
