The apartment was clean, comfortable, and especially well stocked in the kitchen. Ours had three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on one level, plus a large American-style fridge, range cooker, washing machine, and a wood burner in the lounge. It was in the high 30s, so we didn't need the burner. We also had a small private pool that was great for cooling off, though it has no steps or shallow end for children. The hotel lady who showed us around was really helpful and nice. It's a lovely mountain village, but you'll definitely need a car. The accommodation would suit families, though it's on a hill and won't work well for anyone who has trouble walking. There's a good restaurant farther up the hill, with parking just below by a children's play area. A couple of supermarkets uphill have basics like water, bread, and cheese, but no fresh milk, only UHT. We did a shop at Lidl in velez malaga before driving up. Just over the bridge at the bottom of the hill, on the left, there's also a shop that sells most things, nicknamed arkwrightts.

We came for the May bank holiday with the family and had a great stay. The houses are close to the town centre, with spectacular views, a fireplace, lots of bedrooms, and several full bathrooms. They had all the kitchenware and equipment we needed, and the barbecue and griddle were great for cooking. The host was so welcoming and friendly, explained everything, and checked whether we needed anything. Everyone enjoyed the visit. We'd definitely come back and happily recommend it.

We booked Casa de los Naranjos by chance and found a lovely place in the Axarquía mountains, not far from the Málaga coast. We had a really nice few days with both sea and mountain scenery. The house is lovely, with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms and comfortable beds. It could use a few small extras, like a dishwasher, but the built-in pool is a real plus.
