Hampton by Hilton Alcobendas Madrid Hotel

A standard Hilton chain hotel, but things were good across the board. Staff were very friendly, rooms clean and modern, and the bar prices were reasonable for a hotel. Breakfast was an average buffet, fine for a day or two but not much longer.

Parking for check-in was a struggle, with very tight, awkward spaces, if you could find one at all. There were no Diamond-designated spots. The lodging and food are very basic, and getting decent service can be hard since this is also a training facility. The gates rarely respond to card activation, though the assistance button does get a staff response. Cardless check-in doesn't work, which makes the policy or regulations seem pointless. Shower hot water is erratic, and the thermostat is locked or unavailable, with no instructions for adjusting temperature or speed. The shower drain cover isn't attached and shifts around, sometimes leaving the drain open in the middle of the shower area. The staff are pretty nice, but beyond basic matters they don't seem able to resolve complications. There's no assistant manager or knowledgeable senior front desk or facilities lead. They're kind, but not effective beyond the basics. I've stayed at quite a lot of Hilton facilities, and even allowing for this being a training site, there are meaningful opportunities to improve. These seem like relatively small next steps, but addressing them appears very difficult here.

The staff were attentive, friendly, and knew their stuff, which helped make this a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and the rooms had enough equipment, although the stair carpet was a bit worn. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, but drinks from the coffee machine were a little tepid. The modern finish and great staff made it a lovely stay for us. Many thanks!

The staff at check-in and checkout were friendly and efficient, and willing to help with special requests. Breakfast was tasty and had a good range, though some people might find the selection limited. Hampton by Hilton Alcobendas Madrid has modern amenities for both work and leisure, including free Wi-Fi throughout, complimentary self-service breakfast with hot and cold choices, and an outdoor pool. The pool and gym, along with a clean and safe area, make it suitable for families with children.
