We loved the rules around the pool: no lilos, and towels couldn’t be used to reserve sunbeds. The lifeguard kept an eye on things and removed towels when people took the mickey, which made the pool more relaxed and fun. The poolside bar was awesome, and the kids loved the pizza and chips at lunch. Our room, 336, was at the side with a view across the beach towards the port. It was modern, the beds were very comfortable, and it was cleaned regularly. Communal areas were always clean and well presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a lovely walk along the beach to the port, with some great restaurants there. I can’t fault the location or facilities and will definitely visit again next year.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff were warm and welcoming, the food was very good, and there were plenty of things to enjoy, including kids activities and Bamse. The hotel has a prime location and a nice view. Just be aware that the tourist tax is mentioned on the TUI website. One possible bathroom drawback: the glass door doesn’t lock, which may not suit everyone.

We spent 12 nights at Paraiso and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We self-catered, and the kitchenette was enough for us. The rooms were clean and lovely, and we were relieved to see no sign of bed bugs. The beachfront setting is lovely and quiet at night, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The shallow sea was warmer than the pool and very enjoyable. We usually found sunbeds, but when we didn’t, we went to the beach. In the afternoon the wind picks up and can blow parasols away, so a parasol with a screw-in holder is useful and cheaper than renting a lounger. The Spar opposite sells fresh baguettes but is pricey for most things, so we walked 15 minutes to Lidl for supplies. There was one entertainment act each night, which was fine for us since we walked to the port most evenings. Bring mosquito repellent, as we got bitten on the beach in the evening.

There were six of us sharing a three-room apartment. It had a large balcony with a pleasant sea and beach view. The atmosphere was nice, and the rooms were quiet enough that street or restaurant noise didn’t bother us.

The location was perfect, and we made good use of the hotel sunbeds, switching between the beach and the pool. The beach view, pool and daily shows were lovely. Both breakfast and dinner were very good, and the family entertainment worked well. The room was clean and spacious. It was the best summer holiday I’ve had, and I’ll definitely come back.
