Hotel THB Bamboo Alcudia Hotel - Adults Only

This is my third stay here, and the adult-only setup is one of the reasons I keep coming back. My days of holidays with kids are long gone. It's lovely to relax around the pool, where you can order drinks and bar snacks, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and tidy, and the room has everything you need, including a hairdryer and kettle. I only book bed and breakfast, and there's a huge range of choices. There are also so many great restaurants nearby. If you want a quiet holiday close to the beach with different places to try local food, this is a good fit. I'd recommend getting a pool-view room.

Monica and Octavio were the standouts for us. They were so friendly and attentive that we always felt welcome. The staff in general were nice, and I think I'd be happy to return. Bamboo Alcudia felt like just the right size, with no kids as a bonus. Our room was technically poolside, but the dining terrace below blocked most of the view, which was disappointing. We were close to a busy street, though the poolside room meant noise wasn't a problem. It was handy having a daytime bar for drinks and meals. The included food offered plenty of variety, but labels weren't always clear, so it could be hard to tell what things were. Some of the choices didn't suit our tastes either, though that was mostly personal preference rather than a quality issue.

The food was great, and there's a nice view over the lake. I especially liked that the cappuccino is made with love. Breakfast only starts at 8 o'clock in the morning, but otherwise it's a great hotel. I'd recommend it for cyclists.

The pool area was so calm, with no loud noise, just right for reading or unwinding. We also loved being able to walk across the road to the gorgeous beach, about five minutes away, especially in the morning when it was quieter and the sea was calm. When our first room wasn't quite right, the staff immediately offered another one, which was a nice touch. They were warm and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and freshly renovated. It's an adults-only hotel with a small gym, and massage services are available. The one minor issue was the central air conditioning. It wouldn't cool below 22°C and sometimes turned off at night, which could be inconvenient if you like to sleep in a cooler room. Apart from that, we had a very positive impression and would gladly return.
