Villas de Arribes

We were delighted by how welcoming the owners were. The wooden cabins are cozy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, and great bedrooms. They’re a good fit for couples or small groups of friends. It’s very peaceful, though I would have liked the location to be a little more secluded from town. The sink could drain better, and the place could be a bit cleaner. Still, highly recommended.

Hotel La Jara’s staff were delightful when they handed over the keys and took payment. We were very comfortable in the cabin for our weekend, which was equipped for five people, with comfortable beds and very clean bathrooms with showers. It’s ideally located near the hiking trails we walked, with stunning views. We’d happily return. Highly recommended, and thanks for everything!

The drains in the bathroom barely worked, and the awful smell made the stay unbearable. We complained and were ignored. We had asked for a double bed, but they said none was available. They gave our booked cabin to guests staying longer and put us in the spare one instead. They also refused to provide a receipt at first; the one we eventually got was for another property owned by the same family. The washing machine was in a dangerously unsafe room. Given all this, I seriously doubt the place had an operating license.

Julia treated us wonderfully from beginning to end and did everything she could to make our time in Aldeadávila de la Ribera easier. The cabins are lovely, with plenty of room to park, and the house has what you need, including heating and very comfortable beds and pillows. The price was very affordable, especially if you call and book directly instead of through Booking. There are loads of places to see and activities to do. 100% recommended.
