Our room was beautiful, with a patio opening onto a large, peaceful garden. The bathroom was spacious and even had two sinks, which felt like a luxury, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent too. We loved our night here. The staff were so friendly, and I'd highly recommend it.

Dinner was a lovely surprise. We stayed only one night, and with no interesting restaurants nearby, we ate at the hotel. The food was delicious and, since we'd ordered in advance, it arrived in under five minutes. I usually like to eat and leave, so that was an extra plus. Just down the street, the smoked paprika factory is also worth seeing. You can go inside the main building and buy paprika straight from the source, fresh and cheap. We were also able to park our electric car beside the bungalow and charge it from a wall socket. It was slow, of course, but more than I expected at a rural hotel. The place is tucked behind a gate, more or less in the middle of nowhere, which suited us. The garden is gorgeous, with trees of different sizes for shade, and the pool is well kept, with a rustic stone and marble look. Our bungalow sat in the middle of all the greenery, right next to the pool. It's small, but the very high ceiling and loft make it feel much more spacious. The inside is eclectic, with quirky decorations, mismatched furniture, and rustic touches that somehow work together. The whole area feels quiet, calm, and romantic, with the main building, garden, pool, and bungalow close together. It's an intimate setting, so not a place for making noise. A couple of things could be better. The yellow-orange walls and rustic decor create a warm cabin feeling, but the cool white lights spoil it. Mosquito nets on the windows would have helped too, especially after my unfortunate run-in with a wasp nest just outside one. With that tall ceiling, a large ceiling fan would be lovely instead of relying on the air conditioning, and I'd have liked a fan in the bedroom as well. Fans are a more pleasant way to cool down in summer and would use less energy for the hotel. The showerhead holder was broken, the bathroom soap dispenser was empty, and there was a little dust in the corners, but those are minor things to pick at. The poolside paving and tiles are quite rough on wet feet, and our 10-year-old scraped up the soles of his feet. Water shoes would be a good idea if children run around the pool. The grass looks harmless, but there are thorny plants to watch out for too. Even with those cautions, we had a lovely stay in a beautiful setting, with interesting architecture and decor, a stunning garden, a lovely pool, and delicious dinner.

For me, the building is the highlight. It's spacious and airy, with a great layout, the kind of family home I'd love to have, and it sits in a wonderful garden. I've stayed twice: years ago while walking the camino, then again a few years later when I brought my wife to see the place I'd told her about. Definitely worth visiting.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, even giving me a lift to the next stop on the camino after I'd injured my foot a few days earlier. I loved staying here and would come back anytime. It's absolutely worth a stay if you're nearby.

A beautiful setting, with a well-furnished, well-maintained hotel. Parking felt very secure, and dogs are welcome. A fantastic place to stay.
