Posada La Ceña

A terrible experience. The apartments were dirty, the tables and chairs scratched, and there were no toiletries in the rooms. It didn’t match the promises in the photos. The staff were unprofessional and showed no respect or courtesy. I wouldn’t recommend bringing pets either. There’s no sign banning them from the garden, but as soon as they step into it, you’ll be rudely told off.

The gardens are beautiful and the place is very quiet, but we found the apartment quite disappointing. We weren’t allowed to leave our dog there alone at any time. The furniture was quite old, and there were so few electrical outlets that we had to hunt around for them. Kitchen utensils were minimal and old too. We had to eat breakfast out, as there wasn’t even a coffee maker or toaster.

We’ve been coming to this lovely country inn for five years. The family running it are kind and attentive, and their rice pudding is absolutely delicious. It should be on the menu every day. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We left without a solution, and they didn’t refund our money. We had to find somewhere else to stay urgently in the middle of August, which was a major inconvenience. We didn’t return the keys until four days later, the length of our stay, and they threatened us to make us bring them back. From the moment we arrived at Posada La Ceña, the hygiene was a serious problem. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned, and the room was generally very dirty. When we tried to sort it out with reception, they were extremely rude and responded aggressively. They said that if we were calling the inn dirty, it was because the person who had cleaned it was her. Absolutely not recommended. Between the filth and the unpleasant treatment by the staff, this is somewhere to avoid.
