Hostal El Cortijo

It’s a handy stop by the road, but expensive. In January the heating wasn’t enough, and I was cold most of the night.

A great place, with friendly people, good food, and nice rooms.

The room was in very bad condition. The mattress, towels, and toilet seat were all poor, and there was a terrible sewage smell. It was so strong I couldn’t sleep. I asked to change rooms, but the problem was in every room. I could hear other people through the wall.

We had no complaints during our late arrival for one night. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for the price. The owner was at the bar but easy to reach. She seemed to appreciate us making the effort to speak Spanish. Even with the bar-restaurant crowded that evening, all the waitresses were pleasant, smiling, and helpful. We were on a budget and would definitely recommend it to others looking for the same.
