Fonda Chiquito

The staff ignored us when we tried to get help, and they didn’t even answer the phone. The bathroom was filthy and smelled so awful I didn’t want to go in. The lack of hygiene was obvious throughout this hostel. It’s outrageous to treat guests this way. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Terrible. The smell in our room was disgusting, and it was impossible to stay in there. The bathroom was moldy, with hair everywhere and cobwebs on the walls. We called management and sent messages, but got no reply and nobody picked up. We did spend the night, of course. It was already paid for, and we weren’t going to be left out on the street. To be clear, we slept in a room that smelled of sewage pipes, on sheets covered with hair that wasn’t ours, and showered in a moldy, unhygienic shower. This was in rooms 201 and 202. There were four of us and four reviews, and both rooms were just as dirty and smelly. We called to try to sort it out, but they didn’t answer, even though it felt like an emergency. And in response to the claim that this was blackmail, or that we were fake profiles posting bad reviews to sleep for free, we were actual guests. Unfortunately, we were disappointed.

The coffee service, with dancing, and the freshly baked pastries were spectacular. The owners were super friendly, and the service was perfect. The beds were so comfortable and quiet, like sleeping on a cloud. I’ll be back!

We only stayed one night, and the woman who looked after us was very friendly. Our room upstairs was clean, as was the large bathroom. Since we were traveling with pets, they offered us a terrace where we could take the dogs out and get some fresh air. There was a coffee machine with coffee and tea capsules, complimentary pastries, and a water dispenser.
