We couldn’t get into the Roman Baths because you need to reserve ahead, and there were no spots left when we got there. Local residents had spoken highly of them, and even from the outside they look beautiful and really well cared for. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll book in advance. From what we saw and heard, I’d definitely recommend putting them on your itinerary.

I stopped in this lovely, peaceful village while travelling from Santander to Portugal, and would happily stay at the hotel again. Everyone on staff was friendly, from check-in to departure. There’s a local cafe next door serving food and drinks, and breakfast at the hotel was excellent value.

Walking the Camino, I stayed in this one-of-a-kind place and had a great experience. They even helped me book a taxi. The atmosphere at dinner was lovely, and breakfast was excellent, with freshly baked food, cooked eggs, local honey, yogurt, and granola. Great service all around.

The baths were worth the stop, and the hotel itself is a fun, unusual place. We were walking the Via de la Plata, so it felt like a bit of luxury after simpler places to stay. Our one small gripe was the afternoon noise from clients: our room was next to the baths and massage room, right when things were busiest.

The candlelit thermal baths are a must, especially after a long stretch of walking. I came here after 20 days on the Camino Via de la Plata, starting from Cadiz, and wished I could have stayed longer. Thermas Aqua Librea is a welcoming retreat, with friendly staff and beautiful, clean rooms and spaces. The inner courtyard is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is lovely. Along the route, this hidden gem makes a memorable stop after walking Roman Roads, passing through Merida and its Roman history, and visiting a Roman Dam. You can even dress in authentic Roman clothes. It’s the kind of place that leaves you with lasting memories. A big thank you to everyone at Thermas Aqua Librea, especially the young woman who helped with English translation.
