We had a family weekend here. The house was clean overall and very comfortable for a group, though we did find a cockroach in the downstairs bedroom. The listing didn’t match what we found. It said breakfast was included, but it wasn’t. It advertised a barbecue, but there was a gas grill. It also said the house was five minutes from the center, when it was more like 10-15 minutes. We got the keys after 1:00 PM, and were charged a €30 surcharge for checking out after 1:00 PM on Sunday.

The owner checked that we were doing well, and I’d recommend the place. I went with my children, grandchildren, and even the dog, and we had a wonderful time. The house is lovely and roomy, with everything we needed, a great patio and barbecue, and very comfortable beds.

We stayed at Casa Rural La Biblioteca in July 2017 for the Almagro Classical Theatre Festival, and felt at home as soon as we arrived. The house is enormous and spotlessly clean, with roomy bedrooms, a big living and dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed for breakfast. We only wished there had been bottled water for the first night, since we were told the tap water wasn’t safe to drink. There’s also a large inner terrace with access to the kitchen. The staff who welcomed us were incredibly helpful and easy to reach throughout our stay. It’s easy to find, with plenty of street parking right outside, and about a 10-minute walk to the center of Almagro. The price seemed reasonable for the quality and service. We had a small issue because the oven and hob weren’t connected, as everything was new, but they fixed it quickly. Highly recommended.
