The beds looked new and were fine, but the air conditioners and boilers made unbearable noise all night. Closing everything didn’t help. The large outside door wouldn’t shut completely, and the shower’s hot water was quite cold. We stayed for two nights.

The charm of the accommodation was lost for me because I couldn’t sleep. The mattress springs dug into every part of my body, and I couldn’t find a comfortable position. Honestly, the floor might have been better. Please replace the mattresses, Miss Innkeeper. For the high-season price, it’s shameful to charge guests without providing the basic ability to sleep on a mattress with decent support. After a busy day visiting a wonderful town, I’d like to feel better than when I arrived, not spend the day complaining about pain in my back, neck, and ribs after barely sleeping. It’s a shame, but I won’t stay here again.

The room was filthy and falling apart. The mattress felt barely two inches thick, with springs poking through, the toilet nearly touched the sink, and the bedside light was just a lamp. The wardrobe was in tatters, the curtain came down when we tried to close it, and the TV looked like it belonged in the 1920s, though at least it had DTT and wasn't tiny. When they opened the door, I just stared in disbelief and wondered if I was really expected to sleep there for €65. It's the worst place I've ever stayed, and I've been to a few. Thank goodness we had a good play waiting for us, because going back there was the last thing we wanted. I had paid at the entrance, otherwise they'd have been in trouble. What a rip-off.

It's got air conditioning and a cozy feel, with a style and personality of its own. I had a good stay, though things are quite simple and the comfort is basic in some ways.
