We spent two lovely nights in this beautiful town full of culture. The reception staff were very correct and always ready to help, and anything could be sorted out. We stayed in an old room, where the renovated historic section connects smoothly with the modern part. It was a nice experience. Thank you.

The most frustrating part was the service. Check-in took an incredibly long time, even though the person who welcomed us was very nice. At checkout, the staff member was unnecessarily rude and seemed to lack basic people skills. The hotel's small town feels a bit run-down and is surrounded by farmland. If your GPS says five minutes but you're still driving through open countryside with no buildings, don't panic, you're in the right place. The hotel itself is cute, and the lobby and patio were clean and well decorated. The rooms have attractive architecture, though their furnishings and decor feel a little dated.

The shower was amazing, and the room itself was finished to an excellent standard. From outside, the hotel was unexpected, and we hadn't imagined the rooms would be so modern. We found free street parking, although the booking made it sound as if parking might cost extra. Our room looked onto an interior courtyard, and however much art and fountains there were, it still felt a bit confining.

A fabulous hotel that brings the old and modern together. The one downside was the €25 per person, per hour fee for using the pool and spa area. 🙄

The place is remarkable, and everything still works as well as it did when we first found it 12 years ago. Owner Juan and his wife made the hotel from a 15th-century townhouse in central Almagro. Don't miss it.
