Hotel La Perla

We could walk to the beach in about 15 minutes, but the hotel is far enough from the busy beach tourism to enjoy the local feel, tapas and historic sights around Almeria. It’s a small hotel in a great spot for exploring on foot, and the staff were both friendly and professional.

Right in the center, with the beach about a 15-minute walk away, the location is fantastic. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and they let us charge our bicycles at reception. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was adequate. It’s a simple, basic hotel, and the bed was unfortunately very small. We can recommend it to everyone.

The rooms are simple, spotless and have comfortable beds, and the price is good. Staff were very helpful. It’s a pet-friendly place in a central spot near the shopping centre, museums, old town and castle. They can arrange a special rate for parking in Almeria’s main underground car park.

The location and the free bottle of water were the only good parts for us. Our room smelled, the pillows felt full of air, and despite booking a double room for me and my wife, we got two single beds. The noise was awful: people were shouting outside and cars and scooters were so loud that we left in the middle of the night for another hotel. I’d never stay here again. Parking at the hotel is a big no, either. I had to leave the car underground and nearly paid 21€ euros.
