There’s a decent-sized garden where the dog can run, and the rooms have plenty of space. The church and the lake with its pink flamingos are about a 5-10 minute walk away. The coffee was good, but breakfast overall wasn’t very good. The bread was soggy, and the butter, jam and spreadable ham in little tins were over a year past their best-before dates. There were no eggs in any form.

It’s a lovely place to stay, but having the pool open only from 12pm to 8pm is ridiculous.

The complex is in a good location, but we wouldn’t stay in apartment #17 again. The living room and kitchen share one space, and there were ants everywhere. Cleanliness was poor, with old chairs and curtains, and we found what we hoped were bits of snot under the beds and between the sofa. We’d also read a year-old complaint about the refrigerator, and it still wasn’t working properly. The stairs up to the supposed third bedroom are like a pigeon coop. You can’t stand up straight, they wobble and don’t feel safe, and I wouldn’t recommend using them if you weigh more than 60kg. They should make that clear.

The houses are spacious and cozy, and the setting is fantastic. The facilities are in very good shape, the pool is a real relief, the beach bar prices are good, and the staff are generally attentive and friendly. The evening-shift guy was especially helpful and even offered to move us when we had connection trouble. Dani, the owner’s son, was very helpful too. With masks on, it’s hard to read people’s expressions, so a kind gesture would go a long way, especially from the receptionist, who’s the first person guests meet. The pool did have a lot of wasps, and when staff opened it while customers were in the water, they sprayed insecticide right into the nest. More than one person got stung that day. A microwave would also be useful for heating food, since not all the houses have a stove. Our eight-day stay was let down by cleaning. I had to ask for the house to be swept. They mostly just made the bed, if our belongings weren’t on it, and replaced the toilet paper. Towels weren’t changed until day three, and I doubt the sheets were changed at all. The internet needs serious improvement too. The TV stopped working every night around 11pm, and we didn’t get Wi-Fi until day four, after asking repeatedly for a router because there wasn’t one. They blamed poor coverage, which I doubt, as I visit the village often and haven’t had this problem elsewhere. I do recommend the place if the services they offer match what they promise. I’ll almost certainly return, but I’d insist on proper cleaning, or ask not to be charged for it and to be given a cleaning kit with a brush, mop, cloth and so on so we can do it ourselves. I hope next time there are no masks, things feel more relaxed, and I can give a higher rating.

The pool was filthy, with hair all over it, and the entry price was outrageous for such a disgusting experience. The filter hadn’t worked properly the night before, but they still let people in and charged us as usual. We asked for a net to clear some of the dirt from the surface, and they said they didn’t have one. It cost €8 for an adult and €5 for a two-year-old. Parents let their kids pee on the grass without staff stepping in, and people smoked inside the pool, leaving cigarette butts on the floor and grass. We didn’t swim, but they kept our entrance fee anyway. I can only say, don’t even think about going.
