Benimar Apartments

We were in room 8B last week, our second time here, and we'll be back later this year. The apartment had plenty of space and was well equipped. It was clean, and the two balconies were a bonus. When water leaked in the bathroom, the cleaning staff arranged to have it fixed that same day. Reception staff were polite and helpful too. They take a €150 deposit on arrival, which I agree with. I'd recommend these apartments.

It's our first day here and I want to get a flight home. It took nearly two hours to check in at a different hotel. The place is dirty, with no staff, kettle, air con or anyone to talk to. The bath taps, floor, microwave, cups and table were dirty, and there was no bedding. I'd give it zero if I could.

The rooms themselves are fine, which makes the rest of the service even more of a shame. The air con was rubbish, we had to wash our own towels and buy toilet roll, and the rooms weren't cleaned or the sheets changed. The manager lives in the apartments and was the rudest person I've ever met. After travelling all morning, we were dropped at a different hotel and had to find this place on Google Maps. There was nobody at reception, so we waited about 20 minutes until the handyman told us to go to another hotel, a ten-minute walk away, to collect our key. We dragged our luggage there, then were told to pay a £150 deposit, which wasn't mentioned in any paperwork. We met other people who had returned and said they wouldn't come back either. Just got back, and neither will I.

We loved our eight-night stay over New Year at The Benimar Apartments and have just come back for another visit. The housekeeper recognized us from past stays and gave us such a warm welcome. The apartment has all the home comforts you need, you could live there. The Old Town, a supermarket, bars and restaurants are all within easy reach.
