The standard room was a decent size, and I had no complaints. With the window open, you might hear horses in the courtyard stalls now and then. The continental breakfast was especially good given that people in Spain often don't eat much early. It's also well priced compared with other places nearby. Reception is often empty, so calling by phone may be the best way to get in touch.

We stayed in an upstairs double room, and breakfast was included, with a nice help-yourself spread. The building has a striking Moroccan riad feel, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. El Rocio is an unforgettable town and well worth a stay.

The staff were friendly, and the place is quietly situated near the lake. Our standard room was clean, though basic and a little small, and the bed could have been better. The plunge pool wasn't clean. Even so, it's a reasonable choice if you're in Rocío.

We were there during the fiesta, when the streets were packed with people in traditional dress and riders on horseback. The rural hotel was beautiful and unlike anywhere I've stayed before. Breakfast was continental, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. One downside, there were no hot or cold drinks available in the evening.

The rooms have a rustic, quaint feel and are set away from the centre's activity. But service was poor: my message went unanswered, and it was hard to find anyone when I arrived.
