Arrayanes Playa Hotel

There was nothing positive about this hotel, and I'm glad we stayed only one night. Our room was dirty, with hair everywhere, and a brown stain on the pillow. It smelled strongly of some kind of cleaning product, probably because they were trying to cover up a worse smell. The decor was very strange, and the beds looked like they came from a shut-down hospital, as did some of the interior. The shower gel and shampoo were impossible to open, and had green stuff on the outside. For the price, having no WiFi seemed very weird and unprofessional for a hotel in 2024. We were charged an extra 60 € because there was no parking and we got a parking ticket. The man at reception was unprofessional, with stains on his shirt.

We got two stars for the sea view and the great food. The room was on the first floor right above the restaurant, though, so we slept with the smell of fried food. After one day, our towels were taken away and I had to go to reception for clean ones. On the last night the lock broke, and they had to replace it in the middle of the night. The pool only opens from 5pm-7.30pm, and it's closed on Mondays. Nobody told us at first. We talked about going on Monday the day before, and reception said it was okay. When we showed up at 4pm on Monday, the receptionist said it would open in an hour. We came back an hour later and, surprise, it was closed for Monday 🤷🤷.

We needed somewhere for one night because our accommodation wasn't ready until the next day. They gave us a clean room with a sea view, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was just as good. 10/10, big thumbs up 👍

Our room was a little disappointing, it was small and looked out onto a rock wall. Still, it was very clean and did what we needed. The location was fab, the food amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay again.
