Great.

The views from the house are spectacular, and the neighbors are super friendly. Celia and Herman were the best hosts we've ever had. My friends and I had a wonderful few days at their place, and the rooms were very clean. They provided everything we needed, and the location is convenient, with the beach easy to reach by bus or taxi. We'll definitely return to El Casón!

There were 10 of us staying in the apartment, six adults and four children, and everything was perfect. We were a bit worried at first because of some of the comments, but fortunately those were about the previous owners. The current owners are super nice, and we didn't lack anything in the apartment.

We were five young people staying for two days, and it felt like the hostess didn't trust us because of our age. She kept watching us throughout the stay, monitoring what we did, and it became uncomfortable and overwhelming. We suspected she might even have gone into the apartment to check on us while we were at the beach. She also charges electricity separately using a meter, at 30 euro cents per kilowatt. That felt arbitrary and shameful to us. In our case it came to just over 3 euros, a small amount compared with what we paid for the stay. The apartment is being renovated, with loose wires in the rooms and sand and cement on the terraces. The location isn't great: you need a car for everything, and there's no direct access from the A7, so you have to go in through Almuñécar, which is a long detour. Otherwise it's not bad if it's your only option because of August overbooking, as it was for us.
