Place du Port

Waking up above the clouds covering the reservoir, with that unbeatable landscape, was a highlight. The house has distinct spaces and is meticulously maintained. Juan takes care of every detail as a host and made our stay truly enjoyable. It’s in a prime location and definitely worth another visit.

Juan, the owner, was impeccable and the setting and views were a spectacle. We spent a family weekend in this beautiful house, full of thoughtful details. Every bedroom seemed prettier than the last. Everything was perfect, and we’re already thinking about our next family getaway back there. ☺️

We were lucky to find the Entrepeñas reservoir with plenty of water. Alocén is a small village with stunning views, and the house is in an incredible location, just an hour and a half from Madrid. It’s beautifully decorated, comfortable, and a dream place for a weekend. There’s lots to see nearby, including the very interesting Cistercian monastery Monsalud and the Recópolis Archaeological Park, where the interpretation center offers a virtual tour of the ancient city. The people we met were wonderful and friendly, always ready to help with little travel problems. Juan, the owner, was delightful. I’m especially grateful that after I left my ebook at the house, he sent it to me as soon as I let him know. A stay well worth repeating, 10 out of 10.

The views were spectacular, and waking up to that landscape each morning was a real luxury. We spent five wonderful days at Place du Port. It’s in a beautiful village that invites you to slow down and take long walks nearby. The accommodation is welcoming, comfortable, and meticulously cared for, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy good company. Its six bedrooms feel more like a Rusticae hotel than a simple country house. Juan was a delight from the start, friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. You can tell he puts his heart into what he does. We’d definitely want to return.
