We stopped in while driving through town and were in a hurry, but it took more than 45 minutes just to get a menu. I told the brunette waitress I was vegan and she said they had no options. I ordered a mixed salad without tuna, waited another 20 minutes for it, then noticed it tasted expired and found pieces of tuna in it. I told the red haired waitress, who was very friendly and apologetic. The rest of the food was okay, but not worth the price. I also tried to order a coffee and a glass of ice, but the brunette waitress walked off before I’d even finished speaking, so the red haired waitress had to complete that order too. My chair was broken. My friend’s son loves sweets, but took two bites of the chocolate flan and didn’t want any more. I came home with severe food poisoning. The food, service and options need to be much better for a €60 bill. I’ve had cleaner places with better vegan options in Alora town for under €5.

We were stuck nearby late at night without a booking, and they were able to take us in and reserve rooms on the spot, which really saved us. Everyone was welcoming, and the rooms were clean and practical. We had a typical breakfast at the local bar downstairs before continuing our journey.

It’s on the edge of an industrial estate, but don’t let that put you off. There’s a large restaurant with an outdoor area and a good selection of Tapas and menu del Dia. For diners with limited mobility, the toilet is exceptionally clean and has good disabled access.

The lunch menu is €8.50 with a drink, and the food and service were very good. My only complaint is that a bottle of house wine costs €18, which feels steep next to the €8.50 menu.

What more could you want than albondigas? La Molina is the best place in town, and there’s really nowhere else here. The tapas portions are a delicious assortment at 1€ each. I finished my tapas and cold, fresh country red wine with an Espresso made with condensed milk, called “cafe de Bon-Bob”. They also have four kinds of homemade flan.
