Ellie, one of the waitresses, was especially attentive and deserves a mention. The grounds were lovely to walk around, with beautiful mountain and forest views, and there’s a spectacular waterfall a couple of miles away on foot. My room was fine and had an en-suite bathroom, and the restaurant was large. I visited in the off season, so I didn’t see the place at its best.

The room was roomy and clean, and the staff were friendly. Our rate included a set breakfast, and there was so much food that we couldn’t finish it. My boyfriend and I had booked dinner for €25 when we arrived, and it was delicious. It’s a quiet hotel, though shops and supermarkets are far away. I liked staying here and we’ll definitely return.
