We had leaks in five spots, including the living room, bathroom and bedroom, and they damaged our belongings. The oven and kitchen cabinets were dirty, too. Workers were building a swimming pool in the garden, and no one told us they’d be there. We arrived to find no electricity. We tried the electrical panel ourselves without success and called Felix, but he offered no fix by 9 pm. The heating runs on electricity, so the house was freezing, and we heard nothing from him all weekend. In the end, we had to sort it out ourselves. We left after a nearly four-hour drive and still haven't heard from Felix. His only suggestion was that we leave the house. I would have liked to leave a good review because the house itself is nice, but we ran into quite a few problems.

The spa area was being built, so we couldn't use it, and no one told us in advance. The pool isn't heated. When we arrived, after collecting the keys 15 minutes from the house, they asked us for a €600 deposit. A friend on crutches tripped over the dining table and broke its glass top. We told the owners what happened and tried to arrange a repair for the 1x1 meter table. They didn't respond for a month. When we contacted them, they refused to refund any of the money. SCAMMERS

Inside the house there are security cameras, and the kitchenware is terrible. There are no pans, the dishwasher is dirty, and the spa doesn't work. The heating is blasting with no way to turn it down. The pool hasn't been used in years, with dead rats floating in it.

We've been waiting a month and a half for our deposit back. The jacuzzi didn't work, the beds are awful, and the facilities are a disaster, even though the house looks nice. The owner is a con artist. If this rural guesthouse is the only option left and you're forced to stay, take photos when you arrive and when you leave, and document everything. Though I don't know whether it's worth staying somewhere like you're an insurance adjuster...

We almost decided against booking because of the poor Google reviews and ratings, and that would have been a big mistake. We stayed three nights during Easter week, and everything was great. It’s a beautiful house with what you need to enjoy time with family or friends, and the owner is lovely. We’ll definitely come back, and I highly recommend it. Thanks so much for everything.
