You might expect a peaceful stay here, but the old town gets extremely noisy on weekends, especially in summer when the bars are active during the neighbors' rest hours. If quiet matters to you, this may not be the right place. The town's festivals bring another problem: children and other residents vandalize parked cars, and fireworks and firecrackers leave burn marks. In high season, parking is paid, and lately the beaches have been collecting litter like plastic. The place feels less welcoming than it used to, with tourism focused on bars and consumption. It seems like everything is about money.

We spent the day in this lovely, well-kept town, visiting the castle and relaxing on the beautiful beach. 🌞

The beach is picturesque, and the town is lovely. There are good restaurants for a Mediterranean meal too.

The whole Vila Closa is worth seeing, especially the Pulpit and Montserrat Castle.
