Hotel Ábaco Altea

The owners, Adelina and Tom, have a real knack for making you feel at home, and the attention to detail was impressive. We spent two days at Abaco Hotel for our office Christmas gathering. It was just right for unwinding together outside work, in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that gave us some lovely moments and brought the team closer. The hotel is beautiful and well placed, a short walk from the beach and from Altea's charming hilltop old town. I'd highly recommend it for a weekend as a couple, with friends, or with colleagues like we did. I'll be back with my family and friends.

Public parking is a few blocks away, and the location is perfect for an evening walk in the city centre. On our Costa Blanca tour, we found this rare little gem and had a lovely stay at Abaco. The place has such a personal touch that you feel at home right away, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Dear Abaco-Team, staying with you was an absolute pleasure. Thank you!

The garden view was lovely, and the room was stylish, well equipped and comfortable. The shower worked really well, and the warm lighting was a nice touch. A wonderful stay. Now that we know our way around a bit better, we'll come back.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the cathedral, with excellent restaurants just 5 minutes away. Parking is available for a fee, though there are only a limited number of spaces. Continental breakfast is offered, and downstairs there's a lounge with a good choice of beer and wine, plus a lovely open courtyard terrace. My wife and I stayed last weekend for our anniversary. The reception ladies were so friendly and helpful, and they made a great hotel even better. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully modern, with a fabulous bedroom and a gorgeous view of the cathedral from our window. The bed was very comfortable, and they provided extra pillows. Our suite had a separate bath in the sitting area, with the shower and toilet in their own spaces. We'll be back in October!
