The beds were good, and for a few days near the beach and nearby restaurants, the place was good enough. There’s plenty that could be improved, though, especially if it’s meant to keep its quality status. We were close to the pebble beach, and the harbour was an easy walk, with plenty of different restaurants open. Parking was secure and cost €7 a day. Dogs were allowed for €12 per day. Our six person apartment was short on kitchen equipment, including glasses. The induction hob was locked, and there were no instructions. The frying pan had a warped base, and we only had two huge pans. The TV had an HDMI smart box plugged in, but we couldn’t get it working and there was no second remote. The bath and shower had once offered bubbles and jets, but those no longer worked. Water saving stickers were up, yet the shower leaked litres a day. It wasn’t clean enough. The tops of the high shelves and fridge were greasy, and although the lobby offered extra cleaning, that should have happened before we arrived. There were also a few tiny cockroaches in the bathroom. Noise was a real problem. It sounded like elephants were walking above our roof. October is the start of renovation season, and workers removing kitchens in other apartments began making noise around 8 am. The very small pools were shaded by the apartments and full of leaves, so nobody used them. We weren’t offered the option of using the pool at the next apartment either.
