Hotel Restaurante Casa Blava

We found the staff helpful, and the place was clean and nice. It's a great hotel with a small restaurant, and I'd recommend it for a short stay around Cullera.

Lunch was generous and good value, and breakfast in the restaurant was plentiful and unhurried. The restaurant itself isn't fancy, but it has a nice atmosphere and a large terrace with both covered and open areas. Our ground-floor room, number 101, was huge, as was the bathroom, and the modern tiles made it look like it had been updated in recent years. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the stay was good value, though a little more attention to detail would help. The main problem was that we had no hot water on either day. The bathroom looked a bit tired, the shower couldn't be attached to the wall because its connector had broken at some point, and there was no plug for the bath. The vanity was also slightly water damaged, though a little care could sort that out. There was a fridge and complimentary water in the room, but no tea or coffee setup. The restaurant shut from 4pm to 8pm. A room on the second floor had a fridge, milk and coffee, but unfortunately no cups. From outside the place looks old world, and the big old doors make for quite a surprise when you go through them.

For just €20 per person, we had a delicious, generous set menu and couldn't finish it all. The hotel is a lovely little place, and its restaurant is absolutely worth recommending. I'll definitely come back.

The food is high quality, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I'd recommend coming for a meal, or better yet, staying and enjoying the facilities. It's an excellent hotel.
