Casa Riamonte

The host was gentle and the meal was great.

We arrived from Santiago tired and a bit lost after finding a lack of decent accommodation in albergues. This lovely place gave us a peaceful, happy night and dinner, and its imaginative owner Giuliano welcomed us warmly. It's not cheap, but I think it deserves the five-star rating. There’s a garden and patio, and you can wash and hang laundry outside, but there’s no washer or dryer.

The facilities were clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were great. Double rooms are maybe a little small, but they're nice and well-priced. The gentleman is very friendly and keeps you talking, so the stay doesn't get boring. The food is exquisite too, and I highly recommend the daily menu.

The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the location was quiet. There was just one bathroom for six people. Dinner was communal, though you wouldn't risk gaining weight on it. I arrived in the rain, and the dryer didn't work. It heated for an hour at most, so I left the next day with my clothes still wet. The Wi-Fi was basically nonexistent. To get a connection, you had to sit in the cold on the stairs by the entrance.
