Charmsuites Nou Rambla Apartments

I booked through Booking.com and paid half the cost upfront. My flight was canceled in September 2024, so I couldn’t make the trip. I’ve tried many times to get my money back, but the hotel still hasn’t refunded me. Booking.com hasn’t helped resolve it either. The whole experience was terrible. The hotel showed no professionalism, and its customer service was unacceptable. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

We were two families with small children, and the stay was really nice. The beds were very comfortable, there were several lovely balcony areas, and all the rooms had air conditioning. It was more than we expected. The area is fairly central, and the old town, beach, and Montjiuc castle and parc are all within 30 minutes by bus or even on foot.

The worst part was checkout. We’d agreed on 9 PM, and at 9:03 the cleaning lady came straight into the apartment without knocking or ringing. She saw our luggage by the door, but came in with all her equipment and started cleaning around us without saying anything. The strict timing was odd but understandable. Coming in that way wasn’t. We rushed out, and I didn’t check every room, so I left my toothbrush charger in the bathroom. We were still in Barcelona for a few days, so I called and wrote to arrange a time to pick it up. I crossed the city to get it, but the man there couldn’t find it and didn’t know I’d spoken to his boss. He couldn’t reach him either, and said he’d call me once he’d found the charger and spoken with him. I’m still waiting. They made checkout unpleasant, then wasted my time by telling me to come for something they couldn’t find. It feels like they stole my charger, even if the bigger loss was my time. There were other problems too. When we arrived at the address, there was nothing there and we had to call a number. That was manageable, but it would have been good to know in advance. Also, the place is opposite a large club. The club wasn’t the problem, but after closing, people gathered outside on the street all night and made an incredible amount of noise. Never again.

The rooms were large, spacious, very clean, and had comfortable beds. We liked the kitchen layout, and there was even a patio we hadn’t known about. The lobby is in a completely different building, Parallel 65. We highly recommend it.
