The bay and beach are the real draw here, and the hotel makes a good base for a short stay. The evening shows can be a bit tacky, but they’re fun, and I enjoyed the stretching and yoga sessions. There’s not much to see on foot nearby, since the area is mostly houses. A 10-20 minute bus ride gets you to Andratx or Port d'Andratx, both useful starting points for hikes. It seems like a good area for cyclists too. We chose the “my favourite club” package with bed and breakfast instead of full pension. It was reasonably priced and gave us access to a quiet lounge with a modest choice of drinks, sandwiches and cakes. Full pension may make sense, as there aren’t many restaurants close by and they’re expensive, though good. The hotel is showing its age. We had two power outages because the key card reader was faulty, the phone wasn’t connected, and there was a kettle but no wall socket. The staff were helpful, though. The spa and gym were the biggest letdown. They’re very worn: one shower, a large hammam that wasn’t clean, a small sauna with cracks, and several broken things, including fitness equipment, the foot bath and two showers. I’d skip the spa, which is easier to do with such a nice beach nearby. For a better room view on a short visit, try the superior sea view rooms 405 to 412, or the same corner on the fifth or sixth floor. One more note: the owner of Hyatt hotels is named in the Epstein files. If that makes you uneasy, look further.

The buffet had lots of fresh choices and tasted great, and service around the hotel was impeccable. I felt welcome as soon as I arrived. The staff were genuinely kind and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. My room was spotless and had all the comforts I needed. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had, highly recommend it.

We had a great week here. Room 605 had an incredible view, and we especially liked the fish BBQ. The hotel was very clean and welcoming, and the spa was quiet whenever we went in the mornings. The staff were friendly, especially Richard at the bar, who always had us laughing. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were all lovely, especially Ross at Reception, Juliu at the bar, Teresa in the dining room and Tony, who tried to keep us amused. The hotel was spotless, and our superior sea view room had beautiful views. The food was okay, though it was the same every day, and we could always find something to eat. We missed having more daytime activities. We’re used to things like French bowls, archery, darts, water polo and shuffleboard, where you meet other guests and make friends. Here there was only aqua fit or yoga in the morning and bingo in the afternoon. The evening entertainment was generally good, but we had bad weather and there wasn’t anything else to do during the day. Just back from a week here.
