Be Ramblas Hotel

The location is excellent, which is the only reason I’m giving it one star. We booked a private room with very low expectations and were still disappointed. It was cramped, smelled bad, and wasn’t clean. There was hair from previous guests on the floor, and not even any soap.

Great location, and we really enjoyed staying here. The room was small but very clean, with air conditioning, a sink, and a TV. The bathroom down the hall was fine. There’s no fridge in the room, though you can use the one in the kitchen. Breakfast was basic, just cereal, ham, cheese, and toast. The common room has two computers, and they were often both in use. One froze and stayed broken for the rest of our stay. I’d recommend the place, but I wasn’t comfortable with the key setup: you leave it at the front desk, then anyone can get it back just by giving their room number.

For the price, location, and quality, I’d definitely recommend this hostel. We paid €150 for three nights in a double en suite private room. It was clean and refurbished, with a balcony, and the toilets and shower felt fresh. They cleaned the room every morning. It didn’t feel like a hostel, and the staff were accommodating and available at any time of day or night. They even let us keep our bikes in the hallway and storage room. It’s not the fanciest place, but you get what you pay for.

It’s only a three-minute walk to the heart of La Rambla, with lots of great places to eat nearby. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the linens smell good. The bathroom has full tiling and modern fixtures. There’s a 24-hour front desk, and the staff are great.
