Los Dolmenes

The hotel itself is nice, but I’d skip breakfast if you don’t understand Spanish. The breakfast menu was only in Spanish, and the woman behind the bar, the one in the photo, was very unfriendly and wouldn’t help. I got the same response from the person at reception when I checked in. Hotel employees, especially younger ones, should have at least a basic education, which is compulsory in Spain from ages 6 to 12. It’s free and usually covers subjects like languages, maths, literature, natural and social sciences, and the arts.

We slept peacefully and had an excellent breakfast in the hotel’s café and bar. Service was friendly and excellent the whole time. The hotel is easy to reach, has good parking, and excellent facilities. I picked it because it was on our route and at most an hour’s drive from Malaga airport. It turned out to be farther from central Antequera than I expected, and it sits at a busy junction. I’d definitely stay again.

A pretty communal patio, clean modern rooms, friendly staff, great restaurant service, and easy parking. It’s fantastic value for the price, and I’d stay again. The only thing I’d change is the smell in the room. It seemed to come from the bathroom sink plumbing, which didn’t have a p-trap, though drain stoppers were provided if you wanted to use them.

The staff are really friendly, and late checkout is available for a reasonable fee. Rooms are clean, and the spacious elevator makes the hotel very wheelchair accessible.
