I think the whole place needs updating.

I stay here for at least three months every year, in a private bungalow, usually in December, January, April and September.

The complex is really peaceful, and our privately owned bungalow was in perfect shape. It had everything we needed and felt like home. I did notice there wasn't much security around the pool, though. We saw people sneak in, swim, and then leave. Apart from that, we had a great stay.

Getting checked in late was confusing. We'd said we'd arrive around 9:30 PM, within the check-in hours, but weren't sure exactly where to go. I called the reservation number and nobody picked up. Someone at Zanzibar, the bar across from the hotel, told us to check in inside the restaurant. They helped us there, and the next day we went to reception with our details. The room was a decent size, but the walls were dirty and the floors badly needed repainting. The ceiling fans rattled and swung around, and both the sagging sofa and the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. It was only somewhat acceptable otherwise. The pool is large, but it was dirty and poorly maintained, with damaged edges. The loungers and umbrellas looked old and worn. There was a foosball table and another game in the pool area, both filthy and unusable, and the kiosk was always closed. The facilities around the pool need a lot of improvement.
