The Westin Valencia

The bathrooms were great, with the toilet separate and a nice bidet, which I was happy to have since hygiene is my first priority. The beds were among the best I've slept in, too. On the weekends, I was surprised to come back to live music from a talented singer, and enjoyed sitting for a while before heading to bed. The restaurants were great for lunch and dinner, and the facilities were well maintained. All in all, it was a lovely stay in this palace-like hotel, and I'd be glad to visit again.

What stood out most was the staff. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, capable and courteous, and each person was genuinely friendly. The hotel also felt like good value for the price, though I stayed in the off-season. The property and rooms are beautiful and deserve their five-star rating. Food was excellent at both the breakfast buffet and the restaurant by the lobby bar. It's also convenient for walking to the city centre. Valencia is a lovely mid-sized city, and the Westin alone made the trip worthwhile for me.

Maria and Celia on the breakfast shift deserve a special thank you. They were attentive and efficient, always making sure the service was first-rate. It's a stressful job, but they made it look easy. Thanks for a wonderful week and all those lovely breakfasts. This was my fourth visit to Valencia, and I much preferred staying at the Westin to the hotels I've had right in the centre before. It's near the park and has what you need without the tourist crowds. The area feels more local, and the city centre is still only a 15-20 minute walk away. I had a really relaxing stay.

Juan at the concierge was especially helpful and friendly. When I lost my earphones, he helped me and kept checking with the station in Barcelona. During the holiday, when most restaurants were closed, he and Halyna took the initiative to suggest places they thought might be open. On my second check-in, the concierge agent had already brought my luggage to my room. The service was top notch, and everyone who helped me was lovely. My stay at the Westin was very pleasant, and the room was spacious. The one thing I missed was a coffee machine in the room. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Valencia.
