The rooms worked well for a short break, and the town and beaches are close by. Reception were welcoming and helpful. The pool was clean, though cold, and we couldn’t get a sunbed during the day, but that was okay with us. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all during the week, and we don’t know why.

The apartments were even better than we expected, spotless and well equipped. During our seven-night stay, they were cleaned three times. Reception were friendly and helpful, and there’s even a launderette if you need one. Gino runs the bar and is a real asset, serving good food and drinks with a wonderfully interesting personality. He made our holiday. We’d return in a heartbeat, and almost certainly will.

I’m Leo from Cardiff, and my family and I had a brilliant five-day break here. My wife, our two-year-old baby girl and I all felt comfortable, almost like we were at home. The staff were friendly, especially Andrea at reception, who was always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean and organised. Definitely worth staying, and we’ll be back.

My favourite place, honestly. I stayed for a week after August 15th. The location gets a 10/10: you can walk to pretty much anything, including the beach in 10 minutes, Dino store and plenty of restaurants. My favourite is Fado Rock steak house, and I left a Google review last year 😉. Even with all that nearby, the area is quiet. I’d stayed at VF years ago and could see that many rooms have been refurbished. Mine was a clean superior room on the ground floor, with the things you need, including a table cloth, sink cloth, dish sponge and washing-up liquid. The air conditioning was in the living room but cooled the whole apartment well enough, and there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The sofa bed was new and clean, and the bathroom was cosy and clean, with a working hairdryer and a handy little wall mirror for makeup. There were no bathroom amenities. Not every room has been refurbished, so you might get an older one, though it should still be clean. Ground-floor rooms by the pool have no privacy, which is why I’d rate those 8/10. The staff were another 10/10, and I hope they’re just as good next time. I arrived after 9:30 pm and was initially put in a room by the pool, where people would be right in front of the little porch all day. Coming from a busy city, I’d hoped to sit outside for a meal or drink after a shower, and felt desperate when I realised I couldn’t. I went to reception and begged for a move, even offering to pay extra. Everything was booked, so it was complicated. Gara kindly said she’d raise my request, though she wasn’t sure it could happen before two days. I didn’t believe it would. The next morning I checked again and was pleasantly surprised that Gara had followed up and the staff were working on it. Abdallah was also lovely, very patient and always smiling and positive. On the third day they managed to move me to a perfect private room of the same quality. Manager Daniela communicated well with the staff and helped make it happen. The place was fully booked in August, so it felt like a miracle. Next time I’ll specify which room I want. They’re lovely people who make you want to return. And don’t forget Bolita! There’s a stray cat who looks like a posh, spoiled house cat. Everyone loves Bolita, and she’s a picky eater. The staff buy cat food just for her. The pool gets an 8 for being clean and having nice staff, but there aren’t enough sunbeds for everyone. That can be tricky because people leave towels on them and go away. The pool bar gets a 3, the only bad part of the place. I travelled alone as a woman and really disliked how intrusive the man running it was. Apparently the bar isn’t part of the complex. He asked questions without knowing where the limit was and gave me looks I didn’t like. I didn’t feel comfortable and stopped going. When I spoke to other women, we realised we’d had the same bad experience. That’s how I felt, though someone else might not mind. Big thanks to the cleaners, especially Lolly. They were all nice, polite and kind. The maintenance staff were constantly fixing, cleaning and repairing things, but were never intrusive or noisy. Thank you so much, Gara, Daniela and Abdallah.
