Hotel Equo Aranjuez

We used this hotel as a place to sleep before heading back to Puydefou circa Toledo. It served as somewhere to rest our heads before returning to that location.

The dining room staff were friendly and helpful, which was the one good thing about our stay in mid-February. My back and neck hurt the whole time because the mattress and pillow were so worn. The room was very basic, and the heating didn't work, so we had a small space heater instead. The food was poor and basic too. The yogurts were a generic supermarket brand, and the water on the table tasted strongly of chlorine, as it was tap water rather than bottled. This hotel doesn't deserve its 3-star rating. We definitely won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

It was freezing in the room in the middle of February, and the stay was really uncomfortable. All they provided was a small plug-in heater with two elements. I don't know whether our room was the only one without heating. We could also hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms.

There was some kind of castle nearby, too! We checked in quickly for a one-night stay. The room was quite large and clean, with a closet and safe, a TV, and an opening window for fresh air. The bathroom had a hairdryer, bidet, large bathtub, and liquid soap. Breakfast was excellent. I really liked the hotel and would highly recommend it!
