Casa Rural Garro

The setting is wonderfully quiet, and this charming little B&B sits right on the Camino route. If you're doing the famous walk, it's well worth stopping here for a night.

Such a cosy, authentic place in a lovely little town. I don't think it's really suited to kids.

The little brook is just a few meters away, and it's lovely to sit on the palapa terrace and listen to it. This beautiful old house is surrounded by nature, yet the nearby coastal towns are only about half an hour away. Everything was spotless, and the grounds are dotted with unique artwork made by the owner, Jose Angel. He's incredibly kind and a wonderful person to talk with, full of fascinating stories about the Basque language, the local area, and plenty more. You can also swim in the river, tucked away in a secluded spot. If you like, you can even bathe naked there in complete privacy. Jose Angel made us feel very welcome and takes such good care of the place. I could keep listing all the things I loved, but it's a lovely spot to discover for yourself.

I've stayed here more than once, and I'll be back again sooner or later. Jose Ángel is friendly and attentive, the breakfast is fantastic, and the terrace is a lovely place to unwind. The farmhouse and its peaceful surroundings are lovely too. The rooms are fine, though a bit dim, and you can hear a neighbor if they talk loudly.
