Those three big, friendly Labrador dogs really were the cherry on top of our stay. Maribel was such a warm host, and everyone at Casa la Maria and Mas Can Ferrer went out of their way to help my wife and me. It’s easy to hike right from the door, or drive around and explore the area. The accommodation was clean and nicely presented, and town is close enough for groceries or a restaurant. A peaceful, beautiful place. We’ll definitely return.

The people here were so friendly, and our room had lots of lovely little details. We had an amazing stay. Thank you!

The owners are lovely and always ready to help, and the house has a lot of charm in beautiful surroundings. I did feel it could have been cleaned a bit better. We came for a rural break but happened to be there during a wedding. We knew there would be one, but hadn’t expected it to disturb us so much, with people walking around the house and not respecting our quiet. We’ll try again another time when there isn’t an event.

The owners were the real highlight for me, so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I hope I can return. The estate has plenty of space for banquets and weddings, as well as a restored complex with buildings from different periods, including a farmhouse for guests. There’s also a beautiful pre-Romanesque hermitage with some of Catalonia’s oldest religious frescoes or paintings. Set between arbúcies and espinelves, it’s surrounded by forests of fir, maple, cork oak, and other trees, with Montseny’s peaks in the background and unbeatable views. A peaceful place for couples or small groups to get away from the city, and a site of historical interest too.

It feels as if time has stopped here. The welcome was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the surroundings are marvelous. We stayed in the Can les Espelmes apartment, which was stunning and had every amenity, with care given to every detail. It’s a beautiful place in the heart of nature, perfect for relaxing and meditating. We can’t recommend it enough, 10 out of 10.
