I really enjoyed my two-night stay. The food was great, service was spotless, and prices were much lower than in Cuenca. If you have a car or motorbike, I'd recommend staying in Arcas and using it to explore the Cuenca region.

We ended up staying two nights after stopping for coffee, then came back for another two nights on our drive to France. We found the place by chance while travelling around Spain in summer 2017. Despite the word hostel in the name, Hostel ISIS felt more like a privately run hotel with all the amenities. It's not luxurious, and it may have been grander before the main road was moved about 50 yards away, leaving it quiet and free of traffic noise. The site and chalets are dated, but clean and very functional, with a charmingly non-corporate feel. Our chalet had air conditioning, TV, WIFI, a fridge, shower and comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and attentive, even though we don't speak Spanish. The G&T drinks were huge and cheap; the food was adequate, with a rural taste and presentation, but still tasty. There were a few too many flies outside, perhaps because of the season, but we enjoyed our stay. Cuenca town is very close and worth walking around. The old-fashioned Ritz café is where to experience café culture.
