Casa rural Estrella Polar I

We stayed in House II in January and loved the interior. Estrella Polar is three houses around a beautiful, well-kept shared garden, though each has its own porch with a table and chairs. There are two cats. Since it was winter we didn't get to enjoy the garden, but the house was gorgeous, spacious, very clean, and well insulated. It was warm and lovely to sleep in. The decor and lighting are great, though I'd swap the white bulb by the entrance for a warm one like the rest of the house. They provide firewood and firelighters for the fireplace. The showers were great: hot water came quickly and with strong pressure in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Downstairs there's a bedroom with two single beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs, in an uninsulated loft, there's a double bed, a little workspace, and another full bathroom. The kitchen is small, set into the living room by the stairs, but it works. There's a dishwasher, with tablets provided, and more cookware, tableware, and appliances than we needed. Since there's no extractor fan, the hob is small, and we didn't want to do much cooking on a weekend away, I'd suggest reducing the number of pots and pans to one or two of each. We also missed having wine glasses. Anyone wanting cava or a gin and tonic would miss having a glass for that too. I know glasses break easily, but replacing them would be a good idea. Communication with the owner and Ana, who handled guest registration, was excellent. There's a fourth house in the owner's courtyard, but she doesn't live there and it doesn't share the garden. We checked in and out by ourselves. The house is in Huertas, a hamlet just 2 km from Arcones. Both villages are lovely and well kept, and it's easy to get to nearby sights, hiking routes, and local food. We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed the house. Thank you, I highly recommend it.
