The service was nice, but the room was a bit small and dirty. For low cost accommodation, it was about what you’d expect, no more.

The room wasn’t falling apart, so that’s why I’m giving it two stars. It took half an hour for anyone to help us, even though we had to flag down waiters who’d been watching us and acting as if they hadn’t noticed. We said there was no hot water or towels, and they just shrugged and said they’d make a note of it. Nothing came of that, and we never heard from them again. We wanted to pay cash, but they wouldn’t let us because they had no problem giving us €3 in change. It made no sense.

The location was good, and there was parking right outside. The rooms were old, cleanliness was an issue, and the restaurant felt expensive for a small town. We were disappointed to have to put up with a party on the premises without any warning. We couldn’t sleep until it ended. If we’d known, we would have chosen somewhere else.

The food was really good, especially the spectacular artichokes. We also had revolconas (fried eggs) and morcilla (blood sausage), and everything was very good. The waiters were friendly, even though we arrived very late on a Monday when most restaurants were closed. I don’t know about the hotel, but the restaurant doesn’t deserve a 2.9 rating, at least not for the food. 5/5.
