The best part for us was discovering Ares, which felt like a hidden gem, and the gorgeous scenery around it. There are plenty of nearby villages to explore, including Morella and Culla. You can also book a roughly one-hour walk through Ares's historic streets, church, and museum at the Tourist Information office for €2 per person. We even got snow during our family Christmas stay, which made it extra special. The apartment felt like home and had everything we needed, from a capsule coffee machine and kitchenware to towels, embroidered sheets, and a fireplace with a grill for the excellent local meat. It was clean, had spectacular views, and the hosts had turned on the heating before we arrived, so it was warm. Already thinking about coming back!

The owners were lovely, gave us useful information, and were easy to reach whenever we needed them. It's a peaceful, spacious place to unwind, with room for at least 6 people and practically all the comforts you could want. The kitchen is well equipped, though an oven would make it complete. A good base for visiting Ares del Maestre and the surrounding area.

The owners were great about helping us when we left a watch behind, and they called us back. We only stayed one night, but the house was very nice and fully equipped, apart from not having an oven. The rooms looked lovely, though the mattresses really need work: the double and single beds in the blue room were rock hard, while the three singles in the red room were incredibly soft. Still, it's a good choice for excursions around the area.

A quiet apartment with good equipment and heating for a winter stay, and the price was very affordable. It's also ideally placed for exploring Ares del Maestrat and the towns of l'Alt Maestrat and els Ports.

The mountain views are lovely, and it's well placed for visiting different villages. We had a great stay in this rural apartment, which was nicely furnished, very well equipped, and had both heating and a fireplace. We'll definitely come back. 100% recommended.
