Hotel Costa Cántabra

Fantastic!

Rocío was lovely and had great suggestions for places to visit. I stayed one night using a Wonderbox gift card. The rooms are quiet and practical, and the hotel is very close to the bus stop. Breakfast was the one letdown for me: I missed having something savory and plant-based milk. Apart from that, everything was great and very clean.

For exploring Santoña and surfing at Berria, the location works really well. It's a basic hotel with few luxuries, but it had what I needed to sleep and shower, plus the other amenities. Reviews can hurt a business, and this isn't a five-star place, but if you value a good location and simplicity, it's fine. If you want luxury, a modern bathroom, and personal service, this won't suit you. The water pressure in the shower was very good even on the second floor. Cleanliness was good too, though the building is older and you can notice some dampness when it's been closed up. I missed having a fan and an iron, and there was some outside noise, but otherwise things were fine. I'll leave this bakery here: get in line, the donuts are the best, the pastries are amazing, and the prices are ridiculously low. Cheers!

The location is the one good thing, close to Santoña and the beach. I wouldn't come back. It calls itself a "Hotel," but felt more like a hostel, and it was very dated. The room was small with no air conditioning. There was no grab bar in the bathroom shower, the bathtub was slippery, and there wasn't any soap. Breakfast was very sparse, just two sponge cakes and three slices of bread. The carton juice was awful.
