Cocotte

The biggest problem was the lack of air conditioning. Even in mid-June the downstairs rooms stayed at 28 degrees, and we had to sleep with the windows open. Only four downstairs rooms had mosquito nets, with none in the living room or upstairs. Roosters and peacocks from the uninhabited farm diagonally opposite started crowing loudly at 3 a.m., so restful sleep was impossible. There was also construction on the immediate western neighbor's property, about 50 meters away. Apparently it began in March 2025, with work every day except Sunday from 7 a.m. until around 4 p.m. The noise varied but was sometimes intense. When we raised it, the landlord just shrugged and suggested earplugs. That was hugely disappointing. The finca itself is lovely and secluded, on a huge enclosed property. Most of the unused parts aren't well maintained, though they have a certain charm; the area around the house was fine. There was a great pool, nice covered terraces, a barbecue, and a carport. The owners were generally very nice and came by about every three days in the evening to deal with the pool and trash. After two otherwise lovely holidays, that's the end of our Cocotte story.

The pool was superb, always clean, and the water was pleasantly warm. We look forward to staying at Juan Fritz's again. It's a fantastic finca on a large property.

The house and the area right around it were clean and well kept, and the owners were always nice and friendly. There are two fans, plus a large, beautiful pool, a carport, barbecues, and plenty of covered places to sit. The neglected parts are the unused areas of the large property. There was no air conditioning, and even in June the house never got below 28 degrees Celsius, so we had to keep the windows open at night. Only four downstairs windows had mosquito nets, with none in the living room or upstairs. Several roosters and a flock of peacocks on the property diagonally opposite made a lot of noise from 3 a.m. Construction next door started at 7 a.m. and sometimes carried on until 4 p.m. There was no peace or sense of seclusion. The site had been there since March, and it was obviously kept from us :-( We're disappointed in the landlord and Holidu. They brushed us off with earplugs and a tiny amount of compensation that didn't begin to make up for our precious rest time. Both simply shirked responsibility. It's a shame, but that's the end of our Cocotte story.

The quiet here is something else. We only heard sheep bells, birds, and other wildlife, and the finca is perfectly placed for exploring different parts of Mallorca. My wife and I were lucky to spend 10 days in this beautiful, spotless place. There are flowers everywhere, lovely little details inside, and terraces and balconies with seats wherever the sun happens to be. Everything is so well cared for. Juan and his wife gave us such a warm welcome. If we get the chance, we’ll definitely come back. Our favorite moment was watching the sunset from the upper bed with a glass of wine and the door open. It felt special.
