The pictures left out the derelict, graffiti-covered building directly in front of the apartment. In one of our two apartments, advertised for six, there was a double-sized bunk bed, so four men were expected to share it, two on each level. Most doors and windows wouldn't lock, which made us worry about the safety of our belongings. The pool was filthy, with cloudy water and a brown stain around the edges, and the shower head was broken. The whole place looked scruffy and badly run down, as if no money had gone into updating it for ten years. We were a group of eight. This was truly a one-star place, best avoided.

Chano and Juan gave us wonderful service, and the location made it easy to enjoy Tarifa. The beach is about a two-minute walk away, and the old town entrance is roughly four minutes on foot. Our apartment had plenty of room for two couples and was fully equipped. We stayed in the Wellness room, which had a balcony in one of the rooms. There’s also a pool, BBQ, and outdoor table area. A gym is available too, though we didn’t use it. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return.
The location was the one good thing. We tried to spend as little time in the apartment as possible so we could get to know Tarifa instead. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The sofa beds are terribly uncomfortable, and the nearby street door rattles all night when it’s windy. We had to wedge cushions against it to keep the wind out. The refrigerator smelled so strongly of fish that we couldn’t store even a few beers in it. The shower also needs very careful use or water goes everywhere. The rest of the facilities felt neglected. We didn’t use the kitchen or pool because the apartment’s condition put us off.
Looks like everything’s been renovated recently, and the facilities are really well kept. The location is perfect, and it’s a great place to enjoy with family, with the pool, barbecue, gym and more. Excellent stay, I’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended.
The owners did sort things out when we spoke with them, but that cost us a day of our vacation. For an apartment this close to the beach, they need to put in the maintenance and investment to justify the price. The location is the only positive for me, and I absolutely don’t recommend it. We spent our first day cleaning. The kitchen was greasy, the fridge was dirty, there was hair in the bathroom, and the chairs still had sand on them. I really doubt the claim that they clean with an ozone machine. There were lots of problems with the fittings too: the coffee maker was broken, the toaster didn’t work, the clothes rack was broken, the doorknobs were nearly falling off, the sink was blocked, the shower drain cover was missing, and half the bulbs were burned out. One single bed had a completely sagging mattress, and none of the windows closed. I don’t know when they were last cleaned. The staff we talked to weren’t especially friendly either.
