Casa Rural La Pardela

Francisco and Domingo were easy to reach whenever we needed something, and they welcomed us with fresh fruit and a generous gift of delicious avocados. We stayed as two families, and everything worked out perfectly. The garden and pool were beautifully kept, too. It’s a great place to stay if you have a car: around 30 minutes to Santa Cruz, 45 minutes to Playa de Las Teresitas, and 20 minutes to the airport. Clean and luxurious, just what we wanted. We’ll be back, next time with friends!

The mountain and coast views are beautiful, and we had a wonderful week at the finca. The welcome was friendly, and the owner was always reachable on WhatsApp. I don’t understand the complaints about privacy, as everything was fine for us. The wind was a real problem, though. We managed breakfast outside only twice in the week, couldn’t eat dinner outdoors, and the wind coming through the house made it uncomfortable. In March it also made the pool unusable. The sunshade banged loudly in strong gusts, and the noise carried into the building at night. For a finca that isn’t cheap, those things deserve more attention. Better windows might fix the wind inside, which is a definite no-go.

Fran treated us so warmly, and I’m full of gratitude for him. La Pardela is a cozy, spotless, tidy house in a quiet spot where it’s easy to relax and disconnect. The heated pool is really good, and the outside of the house and the views are beautiful. On clear nights, the stars look spectacular because there’s no light pollution. I highly recommend it if you want to unwind and enjoy some peace. Greetings!

The house was spectacular, but the stay ended up extremely expensive, and we won’t return. We were watched from the neighboring house, and when friends came to visit, someone claiming to be the manager charged us €10 per person. I thought that was outrageous. We didn’t even use the pool because the weather wasn’t right. Such a shame.
