El Sitio de la Casa

The pool was amazing, and the place was so quiet and incredibly clean. Juani, the owner, was kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our visit to El Sitio de la Casa was perfect, and we highly recommend it.

El Sitio sits in the old village quarter, among white houses with green windows and shutters. It feels very much like the countryside, even though the highway is only 6 km away. The village has a little bar, a pizza restaurant, two small supermarkets, a gas station, a pharmacy, and even a Red Cross doctor. There’s a nice hike up the hill for views, too. The garden was pretty and peaceful, and we barely noticed the other guests. Emilio was very friendly. The house was simple but full of character, spotlessly clean, and had a washing machine. The kitchen was well equipped, with what we needed, including dishwasher tablets, tea towels, salt and pepper, a large bottle of water, and a welcome bottle of wine. There are shared products like olive oil in the office. Just bring your own shampoo.

We used this villa as a base for exploring Tenerife, and you do need a car. It’s 6 km up in the mountains, with few tourists, and there’s a lovely local village nearby with a supermarket, pizzeria, bar, pharmacy, and friendly people. The villa itself was spotless, everything worked perfectly, and the WiFi was excellent. It’s a beautiful little place with its own 4x5m pool, and it was quiet and peaceful. Emilio looked after us so well. When the shower head broke, he fixed it in 4 min! During the first 2 weeks of March, it was 19 to 25 degrees Celsius. We’d recommend it if you want to see the real Tenerife and avoid the tourist traps.

We loved the antique rural style and the warm, friendly feel of the house. You can see it was restored with great taste. Everything was well kept, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The countryside setting is beautiful and so peaceful. The staff were friendly, discreet, and attentive, and the hospitality was second to none. I’d definitely book again on a future visit to Tenerife and recommend it to others. Five-star quality in my view. Thanks a lot!
